Match Report - Round 3 - Roots Football League Season 7.

After Matchday 3 of RFL season 7, in the Under 7 category, Unitus Capital Cheetahs are at the top of the table followed closely by PN Rao Hawks. Cheetahs played against Lions in the first match and were able to secure a narrow victory of 6-5. Keshav scored a hat trick to make things harder for Cheetahs. JobsForHer Eagles played the second match where they defeated PN Rao Hawks 5-2. Dev Bagaria’s 4 goal performance being the highlight of the match.

In the Under 9 category, BLK Lions are at the top of the table. JobsForHer Eagles drew against BLK Lions 2-2, with all the goals coming in the last five minutes of the match. Both the team went neck to neck in an exciting finale to the match with neither giving up. In the other match, PN Rao Hawks lost to Unitus Capital Cheetahs 3-4 in another very close encounter between the teams, which saw the Cheetahs

In the under 11 category, PN Rao Hawks lead the race followed by Unitus Capital Cheetahs. In the first match, Bisons drew against Rhinos 8-8 in a thrilling encounter. Dhruv scored an excellent long ranger and two other significant goals to take a huge lead by half time, However, Sehajvir Arora cobining with Advik Gujrati helped Rhinos to equalize by scoring 6 goals. In the second match, Sharks lost to Unitus Capital Cheetahs 3-4. Pranav and Pramit’s combined attacking prowess helped the Cheetahs secure the victory. In the third match, BLK Lions defeated JobsForHer Eagles 10-2 in a dominating fashion. Atul managed to bag 6 goals and capitalized on their opponents who couldn’t stop the Lions. PN Rao Hawks defeated Stallions 9-2 with Dhayan Ayush from Hawks giving an outstanding all-round performance.

In the under 13 age category, Rhinos are at the top of the table, and along with JobsForHer Eagles still remain unbeaten so far. In the first match, Sharks were defeated by JobsForHer Eagles 4-9 which consisted of a scintillating 7 goal performance by Yash Ballal for Eagles. BLK Lions lost to Rhinos 3-9 with Liyan Thanveer managing to score 5 goals for Rhinos. PN Rao Hawks lost to Stallions 4-8. Aston scored a whopping 4 goals for the Stallions. Unitus Capital Cheetahs defeated Bisons 5-4 in an exhilarating match with goals being fired from both the teams.

In the Under 15 category, JobsForHer Eagles currently hold the first position in the table remaining unbeaten, but were stretched to the limit by PN Rao Hawks, narrowly winning 5-4, with the winning goal coming in the dying moments of the game. Unitus Capital Cheetahs defeated BLK Lions 5-2 in the other match with Fadil scoring a hattrick for Cheetahs.
